Welcome to Tidylit (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using tidylit.com (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
Tidylit is a book cataloging and discovery platform. We aggregate publicly available book metadata — including titles, authors, cover images, and publication details — from publishers and other public sources. Users may browse the catalog without an account, or create an account to track books they own or want.
2. Accounts
Account creation is optional. When you sign in via a third-party provider (e.g., Google), we receive basic profile information (name, email, profile image) from that provider. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service beyond normal browser usage, unless we provide a public API for that purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other user accounts, or data not intended for you.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or connected networks.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
4. Intellectual Property
Book metadata, cover images, and descriptions displayed on Tidylit are the property of their respective publishers, authors, and rights holders. Tidylit aggregates this information for discovery and cataloging purposes under fair use principles. If you are a rights holder and believe your content is being used improperly, please contact us at hello@tidylit.com.
The Tidylit name, logo, and original site design are our property. You may not use our branding without written permission.
5. Affiliate Links & Purchases
Tidylit contains links to third-party retailers, including Bookshop.org and Amazon. These are affiliate links — when you make a purchase through them, Tidylit may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. We are not responsible for the products, services, pricing, availability, or policies of any third-party retailer. Your purchase is governed by that retailer’s own terms and conditions.
Tidylit does not sell books or any products directly. We do not process payments, handle shipping, or manage returns.
6. User Data & Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
7. Third-Party Content & Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party sites. You access them at your own risk.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any book metadata, descriptions, or other content displayed on the Service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tidylit and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages resulting from purchases made through affiliate links.
10. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@tidylit.com. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
