Yasunari Kawabata

Yasunari Kawabata (1899-1972) was a Japanese author born in Osaka and later passing away in Zushi. He is renowned for his lyrical prose and exploration of Japanese culture, becoming the first Japanese writer to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1968.
