Wu Cheng’en

Wu Cheng'en (1500-1582) was a Chinese novelist born in Huai'an during the Ming dynasty. He is best known for his classic work, "Journey to the West," which is considered one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. Wu Cheng'en passed away in Shanyang County.
