Virgil

Virgil (70 BCE - 19 BCE) was an ancient Roman poet born in Borgo Virgilio. He is best known for his epic work, the "Aeneid," which has had a lasting influence on Western literature. Virgil spent his final years in Brindisi, where he passed away.
