Robert Louis Stevenson

Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894) was a Scottish novelist, poet, and travel writer, best known for his classic works such as "Treasure Island," "Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde," and "Kidnapped." His writing is characterized by vivid storytelling and complex characters. Stevenson spent much of his later life in the South Pacific, where he continued to write and engage with local cultures until his death in Samoa.
