Paul Bowles

Paul Bowles (1910-1999) was an American author born in Queens, New York. He spent much of his later life in Tangier, Morocco, where he wrote novels, short stories, and essays that often explored themes of existentialism and cultural dislocation. Bowles is best known for his novel "The Sheltering Sky."
