Ovid

Ovid (43 BCE - 17 CE) was a prominent poet of Ancient Rome, born in Sulmo. He is best known for his works such as "Metamorphoses" and "The Art of Love." Ovid spent his later years in exile in Tomis, where he continued to write until his death.
