Oscar Hijuelos

Oscar Hijuelos (1951-2013) was an American author born in Manhattan. He is best known for his novels that explore the Cuban-American experience. Hijuelos received the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1990 for his novel "The Mambo Kings Play Songs of Love." He passed away in New York City.
