Muriel Spark

Muriel Spark (1918-2006) was a British author born in Edinburgh. She is best known for her sharp wit and innovative narrative style, with notable works including "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie." Spark spent her later years in Florence, where she continued to write until her passing.
