Malcolm Lowry

Malcolm Lowry (1909-1957) was a British author born in Birkenhead. He is best known for his novel "Under the Volcano," which explores themes of existentialism and the human condition. Lowry spent his later years in Chalvington with Ripe, where he continued to write until his death.
