M. R. James

M. R. James (1862-1936) was a British author born in Dover and known for his ghost stories and supernatural fiction. He spent much of his life in academia and is celebrated for his contributions to the genre, particularly through works such as "Oh, Whistle, and I'll Come to You, My Lad." James passed away in Eton.
