Laurence Sterne

Laurence Sterne (1713-1768) was an Irish-born author known for his innovative narrative style and wit. He was born in Clonmel and spent much of his life in the Kingdom of Great Britain, where he passed away in London. Sterne is best remembered for his novel "Tristram Shandy," which has had a lasting impact on English literature.
