Henry David Thoreau

Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862) was an American author born at Wheeler-Minot Farmhouse and known for his influential works on nature, philosophy, and social reform. He spent much of his life in Concord, Massachusetts, where he wrote his most famous book, "Walden," reflecting on simple living in natural surroundings.
