Harriet Stowe

Harriet Stowe (1811-1896) was an American author born in Litchfield, Connecticut, and later residing in Hartford, Connecticut. She is best known for her influential novel "Uncle Tom's Cabin," which played a significant role in shaping public opinion on slavery in the United States.
