Gabriel García Márquez

Gabriel García Márquez (1927-2014) was a Colombian author born in Aracataca. He is renowned for his influential works in magical realism, including the Nobel Prize-winning novel "One Hundred Years of Solitude." García Márquez spent his later years in Mexico City, where he continued to write until his death.
