Flora Thompson

Flora Thompson (1876-1947) was a British author born in Juniper Hill. She is best known for her semi-autobiographical work, "Lark Rise to Candleford," which reflects her experiences in rural England. Thompson spent her later years in Brixham, where she continued to write until her death.
