Federico García Lorca (1898-1936) was a Spanish poet, playwright, and director, born in Fuente Vaqueros, Spain. He is renowned for his contributions to Spanish literature and is considered one of the most important figures of 20th-century poetry and drama. Lorca's life was tragically cut short when he was killed in Víznar during the Spanish Civil War.
