Adam Smith

Adam Smith (1723-1790) was a Scottish economist and philosopher born in Kirkcaldy, Kingdom of Great Britain. He is best known for his influential work, "The Wealth of Nations," which laid the foundations for classical economics. Smith spent much of his life in Edinburgh, where he contributed significantly to economic theory and moral philosophy.
